How Spain could line up against Ukraine

Sports Mole looks at how Spain could line up in Tuesday's UEFA Nations League clash with Ukraine.

Spain will continue their 2020-21 UEFA Nations League campaign away to Ukraine on Tuesday night.

La Roja are currently top of League A Group 4, having picked up seven points from their three matches in the competition against Germany, Ukraine and Switzerland.

Luis Enrique's side will enter the game off the back of a 1-0 victory over Switzerland, with Mikel Oyarzabal scoring the only goal of the contest at the Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the visitors could line up in Kiev.

POSS SPA XI vs. UKR

Enrique is expected to make some changes from the side that started against Switzerland, although the bulk of the XI from Saturday's match is likely to remain in place.

David de Gea could again start behind an unchanged back four, while Mikel Merino is likely to keep his spot in the middle of the park alongside Sergio Busquets.

A change to a 4-3-3 formation could open the door for an extra midfielder, though, and Dani Ceballos is likely to get the nod over Sergio Canales and Rodri to feature in the middle of the park.

Enrique is yet to settle on his best attack, and it could be Dani Olmo's turn to drop out here, while Ferran Torres is also likely to be omitted from the first XI on Tuesday night.

Oyarzabal started through the middle against Switzerland but could move to the right for this game, with Ansu Fati playing on the left and Gerard Moreno returning to the side to lead the attack.

Adama Traore, meanwhile, is again expected to start on the bench for La Roja.
