Spain coach Vicente del Bosque has expressed his pride following Thursday's 4-0 win over Group C rivals the Republic of Ireland at Euro 2012.
Fernando Torres netted twice in Gdansk as the defending champions took a step closer to the quarter-finals.
"We played well, regardless of everything that was done by Ireland, who were great on the pitch and in the stands," Del Bosque told Tele5.
"We can be proud to have seen our best game against an opponent who refused to give up. We are strong and competing well."
Spain now need a point from their final game against Croatia on Monday to guarantee a place in the last eight.
