Southampton are reportedly interested in Queen Park Rangers midfielder Esteban Granero.

Southampton are reportedly ready to launch a bid for Queens Park Rangers midfielder Esteban Granero at the end of the season.

QPR are currently 19th in the Premier League with just five games left, and Saints manager Mauricio Pochettino is keen on taking the Spaniard to St Mary's should the Londoners be relegated, according to the Daily Mirror.

The 25-year-old is thought to be one of the highest earners at Loftus Road and chairman Tony Fernandes is reportedly keen to slash the wage bill, with the midfielder seen as expendable.

Granero signed from Real Madrid last summer for a reported fee of £9m.
