Southampton's Luke Shaw ignoring transfer speculation at World Cup

Luke Shaw insists that he is ignoring transfer speculation and purely focusing on his World Cup campaign with England.

Southampton left-back Luke Shaw has insisted that he is fully focused on performing for England at the World Cup as opposed to concerning himself with transfer speculation.

The 18-year-old, who received a spot in Roy Hodgson's Three Lions squad following an impressive season, has been linked with a £27m move to Manchester United.

"Transfer speculation is something that is not even on my mind," the London Evening Standard quotes Shaw as saying. "Transfer talk is completely gone — I am here to focus on England and England only."

Shaw will challenge Leighton Baines for the left-back spot in England's team during their World Cup campaign, which gets underway against Italy in Manaus on June 14.
