Sheffield Wednesday are on the hunt for a defender before Thursday's 5pm loan deadline, chairman Milan Mandaric has revealed.
The Owls have registered just one league win from their 15 games this season and lie in the Championship relegation zone, two points off the bottom.
"We're trying to bring in a centre-back, in fact a couple of players; three of our centre-halves are injured - Kamil Zayatte, Martin Taylor and Anthony Gardner," Mandaric told The Star.
"It is hoped that Roger Johnson will be fit for Saturday's match at Blackpool but Miguel Llera is the club's only other senior, fit centre-half."
Next up for Wednesday is a trip to fourth-placed Blackpool on Saturday.
