Jack Hunt seals permanent Sheffield Wednesday switch

Jack Hunt signs a three-and-a-half year contract with Sheffield Wednesday after the Owls agreed an undisclosed fee with Crystal Palace to sign the defender permanently.

Sheffield Wednesday have completed the permanent signing of defender Jack Hunt from Crystal Palace for an undisclosed fee.

The 25-year-old right-back has signed a three-and-a-half year contract to leave the Eagles for the Owls, where he had been on a season-long loan.

Hunt never made a competitive appearance for Palace after joining them from Huddersfield Town in September 2013, but he has thrived at Wednesday in the Championship this season, making 22 appearances so far under Carlos Carvalhal.

He is Wednesday's first signing of the January transfer window and the first player in or out at Palace this month.
