Half-Time Report: Sheffield Wednesday in charge at the break

Sheffield Wednesday lead Middlesbrough 2-0 at half time in the Championship thanks to goals from Atdhe Nuhiu and Stevie May.

Goals from Atdhe Nuhiu and Stevie May have given Sheffield Wednesday a 2-0 lead against Middlesbrough at half time in the Championship at the Riverside Stadium.

Nuhiu scored after just four minutes when he converted from close range to punish Boro's inability to clear their lines from a corner.

Grant Leadbitter went close for the home side on 15 minutes when his shot clipped the top of the crossbar, before Tomas Meijas was forced to tip May's effort onto the post.

With around five minutes of the half remaining, May struck his first goal for Wednesday when he flicked the ball past Meijas to double Boro's advantage.
