Sheffield United have reportedly set their sights on Huddersfield Town midfielder Jonathan Hogg as they gear up for their return to the Premier League.
The 30-year-old has been with the Terriers for six years and was a key figure as they rose to the top flight, where they spent two seasons before suffering relegation last term.
According to The Sun, the newly-promoted Blades have earmarked Hogg as a top target this summer as they bid to beat the odds and avoid an immediate drop back down to the Championship next season.
The newspaper says that Chris Wilder's side face competition from Bundesliga outfit Schalke, now managed by ex-Town boss David Wagner, who is keen on a reunion.
Hogg, who has racked up almost 200 appearances for Huddersfield since 2013, has one year remaining on his current contract with the club, although they do retain the option of a one-year extension.
