A pitch inspection had been called for 1pm today following overnight snowfall in South Yorkshire.
Having inspected the playing surface, and with more snow forecast in the area for later today, the officials have decided that the game should not go ahead.
As it stands, no date has been given for when the match at Bramall Lane will take place.
