Sheffield United director hails 'Double Trouble' team of Nigel Clough, Chris Morgan

Sheffield United director Selahattin Baki is relishing the prospect of Nigel Clough and Chris Morgan working together.

Sheffield United director Selahattin Baki has described the combination of Nigel Clough and Chris Morgan in the coaching team as "Double Trouble".

Clough was officially unveiled as the Blades' new manager on Wednesday, while Morgan, who was in temporary charge of the club following the sacking of David Weir, will remain part of the first-team staff.

"[Clough] has a big club culture because he played at Manchester City and Liverpool, and that's important – club culture," Baki told reporters.

"As a manger, he has had a stable and good career with Derby County and has a reputation working with young players.

"I think on paper he is the right man for the job and the combination between him and Chris Morgan is perfect. I call them 'Double Trouble' for the opponents."

Baki added that Clough's 'big-club mentality' was an important reason why United decided to make him their new manager.

"Even though we are in League One, we are a very big club with great history," he said. "Bramall Lane is the Wembley of League One – look at our fanbase, look at our stadium, look at our history, look at our youth academy. Nobody should come here to save the day – they should come here to make history.

"I can honestly tell you that he was our first choice. I am extremely excited that Chris Morgan is part of the coaching staff. I can't wait for the next few games as it will be one hell of a ride."

United are currently 21st in League One with nine points from 13 matches.
