Five-star Sevilla run riot against Granada

Sevilla score three goals in the final 10 minutes against Granada to inflict a heavy 5-1 defeat on their opponents.

Sevilla have climbed into the top four of La Liga courtesy of a resounding 5-1 victory over Granada at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

The hosts, who came into this game without a win in their last three league encounters, set the tone from the off with former Everton loanee Gerard Deulofeu shooting narrowly wide.

Carlos Bacca went one better with 24 minutes played by pouncing on a rebound inside the box and firing the ball beyond Roberto to give his side the lead.

Granada managed to equalise before the interval, though, after Stephane Mbia handled the ball inside the area to pave the way for Youseff El Arabi to convert from the spot.

Grzegorz Krychowiak jumped highest to meet a header inside the opposition area on the hour, only to see his effort well kept out by Roberto, although Los Rojiblancos did find a second just minutes later.

Having seen an effort come back off the crossbar, Ever Banega was able to get the better of Roberto at the second attempt to put Sevilla on their way to victory once again.

The scoreline remained tight heading into the final 10 minutes, but Unai Emery's charges soon made sure of the points with a late three-goal salvo.

Bacca managed to find a way through after being picked out by Jose Antonio Reyes, before Mbia made up for his earlier error by heading home goal number four of the evening for his side.

Kevin Gameiro rounded off the scoring in added time when he planted the ball beyond the reach of Roberto to complete a disappointing night for an out-of-sorts Granada side who are now down in 16th place.
