Alejandro Arribas criticises Unai Emery

Alejandro Arribas says that it was an easy decision to leave Sevilla for Deportivo La Coruna this summer due to his strained relationship with Unai Emery.

Spanish defender Alejandro Arribas has claimed that he 'did not feel loved' at Sevilla under Unai Emery.

The 26-year-old joined Sevilla on a free transfer from Osasuna last summer, but departed after just one season for Deportivo La Coruna.

Arribas believes that Emery 'did not trust him', which ultimately led to a move away from the Estadio Ramon this summer.

"A player has to feel loved and important within the team and at Sevilla, for whatever reason the coach didn't trust me," he told La Voz de Galicia.

"Deportivo made their interest clear, I saw they really wanted me and I'm very happy with my decision."

Arribas made 11 La Liga appearances last season.
