Seattle Sounders have completed the signing of Tyrone Mears.
The 31-year-old has been without a club since he was released by Championship side Bolton Wanderers at the end of last season.
However, the right-back has now accepted an offer from the Sounders, where he will replace Tottenham Hotspur-bound DeAndre Yedlin.
"We're excited to welcome Tyrone to Sounders FC. His professional experience, athleticism and versatility on the backline make him a valuable player for our club heading into 2015," the club's sporting director Chris Henderson said in a statement.
Mears started his career with Manchester City, before having spells with the likes of Preston North End, Derby County and West Ham United.
