Eintracht Frankfurt have held Schalke 04 to a 1-1 draw with goals from Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Stefan Aigner.

Sebastian Jung tried his range from early on with a shot from distance but his effort was some way of target.

In the 11th minute Klaas-Jan Huntelaar headed wide from a corner, before firing in the opener in the same period of play.

However, the hosts were ahead for just two minutes as Stefan Aigner levelled the scores in an entertaining first quarter of an hour.

Jermaine Jones headed wide from a corner with the best chance for either side to take the lead ahead of half-time.

Schalke started to control the second half, with Huntelaar having a shot well-saved before heading wide when well-placed.

Despite the pressure, Schalke could not get the goal they needed for the win.
