Schalke's Julian Draxler targets top-four finish

Julian Draxler says that Schalke want to finish in the top four in the Bundesliga but admits that they have to work hard for the rest of the season to do so.

Schalke midfielder Julian Draxler has said that his side's objective this season is to finish in the top four in the Bundesliga.

The Royal Blues defeated Borussia Dortmund 2-1 at home on Saturday to climb up to fourth in the table on 39 points.

"You only have to look at the table to see our return to form, but we mustn't stop there," he told Bundesliga.com. "We've still got lots of work ahead of us this season.

"Of course we want to finish in the European places and if possible qualify for the Champions League. The win against BVB is another important step in the right direction, but we're still a long way from our goal."

Eintracht Frankfurt are level on points with Schalke in fifth place, while Hamburg are just a point behind in sixth.
