Sassuolo have qualified for Europe for the first time in their history after Juventus beat AC Milan 1-0 in the Coppa Italia final.
The small club, based in the province of Modena, have spent most of their history in the lower leagues and had never even played as high as the second tier of Italian football until 2008.
However, Eusebio Di Francesco's side finished sixth in Serie A this season to give them a chance to qualify for the Europa League, providing seventh-placed Milan slipped up against Juve.
Alvaro Morata's winning goal, watched by thousands of Sassuolo fans in the main square of their town, deprived the Rossoneri of the final Europa League place and gave it to the Neroverdi instead.
Sassuolo join Inter and Fiorentina in the competition.
