Rotherham United's Steve Evans: 'Championship survival my greatest achievement'

Rotherham United boss Steve Evans says that keeping the Millers in the Championship is his greatest accomplishment.

Rotherham United manager Steve Evans has declared that keeping the club in the Championship is the greatest achievement of his career.

The Millers beat the drop following their 2-1 win against Reading, condemning Wigan Athletic and Millwall to League One football next term.

"I have won a lot of promotions and been at Wembley and won the playoffs, I think individually, this was the biggest result," Miller told reporters.

"In terms of being relieved, we thought we were over the line after Brighton. This for me was bigger than Wembley.

"Winning and keeping them up is the biggest achievement for me."

Matt Derbyshire and Lee Frecklington scored the crucial goals that secured victory over Reading, with Oliver Norwood netting a consolation for the Royals.
