Republic of Ireland defender John O'Shea has confirmed that he will be fit to play in this summer's European Championships.
O'Shea, 31, had been nursing a couple of knocks, resulting in Giovanni Trapattoni calling up Paul McShane as a precaution.
However, O'Shea insists that he was never in serious danger of missing the tournament, and should be fit for Ireland's final warm-up game against Hungary on Monday.
"I'm really looking forward to playing a part in Hungary," said O'Shea.
"I was never really worried and when I injured it initially I could have carried on but I didn't want to make it even worse.
"I was always confident of playing in the finals."
Ireland's Euro 2012 opener comes against Croatia on June 10, while they will also have to compete with Spain and Italy in their group.
