Hubert Fournier: 'Reims can aim for more than just beating the drop'

Reims coach Hubert Fournier says that his side can aim for more than just beating the drop as they prepare to face AS Monaco in Ligue 1 tonight.

Reims coach Hubert Fournier has said that his side can aim for more than just beating the drop as they prepare to face AS Monaco in Ligue 1 tonight.

Reims killed off any threat of relegation this season with a 1-0 win over Bordeaux last weekend, with Fournier now stating that his team can play with a little more space for the rest of the campaign.

"Our situation in the table means we can work in a bit of peace," said Fournier, according to Ligue1.com

"We still have worries but they are different worries now. We can aim for a more ambitious objective rather than simply beating the drop, which was our target at the start of the season."

Reims currently find themselves in seventh place in the Ligue 1 table.
