Half-Time Report: Real Zaragoza and Granada in stalemate

Real Zaragoza and Granada both fail to break the deadlock in the first half of their La Liga clash this evening.

Real Zaragoza and Granada played out a goalless opening 45 minutes in their bottom-of-the-table clash this evening.

The visitors came close to taking the lead after just three minutes when Odion Ighalo met Recio's cross with his head, only to send his effort just wide.

The hosts responded with a chance of their own shortly after when Ruben Rochina found space to shoot having been set up by Victor Rodriguez. He could only drag his shot wide of the post, however.

Recio was the next to come close, being allowed to let fly from outside the box. He also failed to hit the target, however, pulling it wide right.

Ighalo came within inches of breaking the deadlock in the 19th minute after he was found by Nolito's cross. The Nigerian striker headed goalwards from close range, but could only find the post with his effort.

Rochina came close again 10 minutes before the break, but again he couldn't find the target from outside the box.
