Carlos Aranda's 79th minute goal was enough to see Real through after the home side finally broke the stubborn resolve of Granada.

The win broke a sequence of back-to-back defeats for Zaragoza, while ending Granada's winning streak.

Next up for Zaragoza are champions Real Madrid as Granada entertain Athletic Bilbao.
