Report: Inter Milan plot Karim Benzema swoop

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has reportedly been added to the top of Inter Milan's list of summer transfer targets.

It is expected that the Serie A outfit will lose the services of Mauro Icardi at the end of the season, with the Premier League likely to be his destination.

Should that end up being the case, Inter plan to make a move for Benzema, according to Corriere dello Sport.

However, the report adds that the Italian club would need to stump up at least a £40m transfer fee to stand any chance of landing the Frenchman.

Benzema, who joined Los Blancos from Lyon in 2009, has scored 24 goals in all competitions this season.
