Real Madrid have reportedly identified Leicester City's Caglar Soyuncu as a transfer target and plan to move for the centre-back next summer.
Los Blancos signed David Alaba on a free transfer ahead of the 2021-22 campaign, but they allowed both Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane to leave the club.
Carlo Ancelotti's side are expected to move for a new centre-back in 2022, and according to Defensa Central, Soyuncu has emerged as a leading target for the capital giants.
The report claims that Los Blancos have been scouting the 25-year-old for a long period of time and believe that an offer in the region of €45m (£38.5m) would be enough to sign him.
Soyuncu's current deal at the King Power Stadium is due to expire in June 2023, meaning that the Foxes are not in a strong position to negotiate a high transfer fee.
The defender has made 91 appearances for Brendan Rodgers's side since arriving from Freiburg in August 2018, including nine outings in all competitions at the start of the 2021-22 campaign.
