Juventus sign Sami Khedira

Juventus complete the signing of Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira on a four-year contract.

Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira has agreed a switch to Italian champions Juventus.

The 28-year-old joined Los Blancos from Stuttgart following the conclusion of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and he was initially a key member of the starting lineup at the Bernabeu.

However, a cruciate knee ligament injury suffered in November 2013 ruled him out for a number of months and upon his return to fitness, Khedira had lost his place to his fellow German Toni Kroos, who arrived in the Spanish capital from Bayern Munich last summer.

His Madrid contract is due to expire at the end of the month and with no agreement over an extension having been reached, the defence-minded player has signed a four-year deal at the Juventus Stadium, which will come into force on July 1.

During his time with Real, Khedira won one La Liga title, two Copa del Reys and the Champions League.
