Real Betis are reportedly looking to increase the buyout clause of midfielder Fabian Ruiz, who is allegedly a target for Real Madrid, Barcelona and West Ham United.

Real Betis have reportedly taken steps to try to strengthen their position with midfielder Fabian Ruiz.

During the current campaign, Ruiz has contributed two goals and three assists in 16 outings in La Liga, and the 21-year-old's form has allegedly led to interest from Real Madrid, Barcelona and West Ham United.

However, according to AS, Betis are looking to extend the player's contract, as well as add a bigger buyout clause in the deal.

As it stands, Ruiz is available for just €15m (£13.09m) but Betis are looking to increase the figure to at least €40m (£34.91m) before the end of the transfer window.

The report claims that his representatives are unlikely to allow the figure to go beyond €25m (£21.82m) in order to keep Ruiz in the thoughts of bigger clubs.

Ruiz spent the second half of last season on loan at Elche, while he has also earned three caps for Spain Under-21s.
