Zinedine Zidane: "Isco is a lot like me"

Former Real Madrid midfielder Zinedine Zidane believes that Isco is a similar player to himself.

Real Madrid Castilla boss Zinedine Zidane believes that Real Madrid midfielder Isco is a similar player to himself.

Zidane, who has been in charge of Castilla since 2014, represented the Spanish outfit between 2001 and 2006.

During his time at the Bernabeu, Zidane was regarded by many as the best midfielder in European football. Now, the 42-year-old has claimed that Isco can enjoy similar success in the Spanish capital.

"Technically, Isco is a lot like me. The fans love him, this is a special moment for him and he's showing that buying him was a very good idea," Zidane told reporters at a promotional event for Mango.

Isco, 22, joined Real Madrid from Malaga in 2013, but has only cemented a certain role in the club's first-choice XI this season.
