Real Madrid are reportedly set to extend the contract of Vinicius Junior this summer.
The 21-year-old has excelled for Carlo Ancelotti's side this season, scoring 17 goals and registering 14 assists in 39 appearances across all competitions.
Vinicius, who has been with Real Madrid since joining from Flamengo in 2018, is currently under contract at the Santiago Bernabeu until June 2024.
However, Managing Madrid reports that the winger is set to sign a new five-year contract, with a significant wage increase, at the end of the season, although terms are yet to be fully agreed between both parties.
The report adds that the Brazil international is currently one of the lowest earners at Real Madrid, pocketing around €3m per year, but his new deal will reflect his status as an important first-team regular.
The inevitable departures of Gareth Bale, Marcelo and Isco, who are all out of contract this summer, are set to help fund a salary increase in Vinicius's new deal.
