Valencia striker Roberto Soldado has targeted victory against Real Madrid this weekend.
Los Blancos ran out 6-3 winners the last time the two sides met, at the Mestalla Stadium.
Soldado, 26, revealed that the defeat "hurt" the Valencia squad and he is "desperate for revenge" this time around.
"Not all the players who were there last year are still here, but the result really hurt and we haven't forgotten about that game yet," Soldado told Marca.
"We have to make amends this weekend and I'm desperate for revenge. We can't let something like that happen again.
"We have learned our lessons from the loss last term. We now know how to take them on though and we will do a lot better."
Madrid are currently top of La Liga, while Valencia are in fourth.
