Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo is roughly a week away from regaining full fitness ahead of the new season.
The Portugual international has sat out much of the club's pre-season tour of the United States thus far with a knee injury, but did make a surprise appearance in the 3-1 defeat to Manchester United on Saturday.
"Cristiano played 20 minutes which means his condition is improving. I think another week of training with the team and he will be ready for the first game of the season," Ancelotti told reporters.
Ancelotti's side face fellow La Liga club Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup next week.
