Granada vs. Cadiz (Wednesday, 4.00pm)

Granada will get the new year up and running when they play face fellow Andalusian side Cadiz in Wednesday's La Liga fixture.

The hosts are currently languishing in the bottom three, while the visitors are sitting just outside the drop zone in 17th place.

We say: Granada 1-1 Cadiz

While both sides will be desperate to claim maximum points to boost their survival hopes, we think they may have to be content with a share of the spoils, having seen five of their last six head-to-head meetings finish all square.

Celta Vigo vs. Betis (Wednesday, 6.15pm)

Real Betis will begin the new year with a trip to Galicia for Wednesday's La Liga clash against relegation-threatened Celta Vigo.

While the hosts are currently sitting two points adrift from safety, Los Verdiblancos occupy seventh place in the standings.

Betis have experienced four consecutive draws in the Spanish top-flight, and we think that run could continue against a Celta Vigo side who have seen four of their last six home games finish all square.

Real Madrid will look to kick off 2024 with a win when they welcome Mallorca to the Santiago Bernabeu for Wednesday's La Liga contest.

Los Blancos currently sit top of the table alongside surprise package Girona, while the visitors start the new year in 14th position.

Mallorca may have proven to be a tough team to beat in recent times, but we think they will struggle to extend their unbeaten run beyond Wednesday's contest.

Real Madrid tend to save their best performances for the Santiago Bernabeu, and we believe they will showcase the quality at their disposal to claim a relatively comfortable home victory in their first outing of 2024.

Girona vs. Atletico (Wednesday, 8.30pm)

High-flying Girona will face a test of their title credentials when they welcome Atletico Madrid to Estadi Municipal de Montilivi for Wednesday's La Liga contest.

While Girona are sitting alongside Real Madrid at the top of the table, Atleti are seven points adrift in third position.

We say: Girona 2-1 Atletico Madrid

Atleti have shown inconsistency in their recent league games, and if they are unable to produce their best form against Girona, they could experience a difficult evening.

With that in mind, we think a free-scoring Girona side will continue their remarkable season by condemning the visitors to a fourth consecutive away defeat in La Liga.
