The Spanish Football Association moves the final La Liga El Clasico of the season to a Saturday afternoon in March.

The La Liga El Clasico between Real Madrid and Barcelona will be played on Saturday, March 2 at 3pm UK time.

Hosting Madrid had appealed to the Spanish governing body for the match to be moved to the Friday before to give them more time to prepare for their Champions League second leg encounter away to Manchester United the following Tuesday.

However, it has been decided that the clash will take place a day later than Los Blancos had requested.

Madrid currently trail leaders and rivals Barcelona by 16 points.
