Thierry Henry criticises Javier Hernandez's goal celebration for Real Madrid

Thierry Henry criticises Real Madrid loanee Javier Hernandez for celebrating as if he had "won the World Cup" in last night's Champions League tie against Atletico.

Thierry Henry has criticised Javier Hernandez for celebrating as if he had "won the World Cup" with a goal for Real Madrid in Wednesday night's Champions League quarter-final against Atletico Madrid.

The Mexico international, who is on loan at the Bernabeu from Manchester United, scored the winner in the 88th minute against a 10-men Atletico side to push Real into the semi-finals.

Cristiano Ronaldo played a huge part in the goal, and Henry believes that Hernandez should have shown his gratitude towards the Ballon d'Or winner for his assist instead of celebrating in the manner that he did.

"That's Ronaldo's goal," Henry said during Sky Sports' coverage. "At that particular moment he couldn't shoot, so he didn't take the risk of doing something stupid and silly with it. He saw a guy in a better position, which Chicharito was, and he gave him the ball.

"What I don't like is Chicharito seems like he's won the World Cup with that. It's a tap-in. Turn around and celebrate with Ronaldo. Even the camera knew - the camera is on Ronaldo for a reason."

Real will be joined by Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Juventus in the semi-final draw.
