Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Gareth Bale is fit to return to action following a hip problem.

The Welshman has missed his side's last three games through injury, but he completed a training session on Sunday.

Ancelotti has said that the attacker is in his thoughts for Tuesday's Champions League clash against Liverpool, but the 25-year-old is expected to start on the bench.

"Bale is good. The question is whether or not to start him or to rest the players who have played a lot in previous games. I'll decide tomorrow," Ancelotti told reporters at a press conference.

Bale has scored five times in 12 games this season.
