Real Madrid have a 2-0 half-time lead over Galatasaray in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The hosts went ahead with nine minutes on the clock as Cristiano Ronaldo calmly lifted the ball over the onrushing Fernando Muslera.

Galatasaray had the chance to level in the 28th minute, but Didier Drogba's long-range effort was kept out by Diego Lopez.

They were made to pay almost instantly when Karim Benzema fired into the bottom corner following some sloppy defending from the visitors.
