Sergio Ramos: 'We must respect Galatasaray'

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos says that they must not underestimate Galatasaray when the two sides meet in the Champions League next month.

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has said that Galatasaray must be shown the "respect" that they deserve when the two sides meet in the Champions League quarter-finals next month.

Los Blancos host the Turkish side on April 3 with the return leg six days later, and the Spain international has said that they must not be taken lightly.

"One should never underestimate any team. They have had to earn the right to get where they are," he told UEFA's official website.

"Galatasary are a pretty strong team with their new signings [Didier Drogba and Wesley Sneijder]. They are a force to be reckoned with. We have to give them a lot of respect.

"Didier Drogba and Wesley Sneijder are world-class players, but the real danger is the collective and never just the individual. We have to try to keep a clean sheet at home because I am sure that things will be difficult on their home turf."

Ramos won cap number 100 for Spain in their match against Finland on Friday at the age of 26.
