Reading's owner is optimistic of adding to his club's books with further signings today.

Reading owner Anton Zingarevich has insisted that he is hopeful of bringing in more players to the club ahead of tonight's transfer deadline.

Reading are rumoured to be trying to hijack Thomas Ince's move to Liverpool and Zingarevich has said that "bids" have been made.

"We've made some bids, so we'll see what comes out of it," Zingarevich told the club's official website.

"It's a difficult one - if you're a buying club, there's always a selling club. Nothing is really confirmed yet. In January everybody is a tough negotiator."

Reading are in the Premier League after their home point against Chelsea.
