Reading have confirmed the signing of Dutch international winger Ola John on a season-long loan from Benfica.
The 23-year-old scored three goals in 28 appearances for the Portuguese side last campaign as he helped them win the Primeira Liga, Super Cup and League Cup treble, scoring the winner in the final of the latter.
After being linked with a late deadline day move for the winger earlier on Tuesday, the Royals have now revealed that the deal has been completed.
Manager Steve Clarke told the club's official website: "The chance to sign Ola came about very late in the window but we felt it was well worth the effort to force the deal through.
"He is an attacker with power and pace, the ability to beat a man and deliver quality balls into the box and also an eye for a goal himself.
"With these qualities, added to the players we already have in the club, Ola should help ensure that we are a more potent attacking team this season."
John has become the second player to arrive at the Madejski Stadium on loan on transfer deadline day, after the arrival of Czech Republic international striker Matej Vydra from Watford.
