Half-Time Report: Shane Duffy header gives Yeovil Town half-time lead

Yeovil Town have a slender half-time lead against Reading thanks to Shane Duffy's header.

Yeovil Town are beating Reading at half time in their Championship encounter.

The hosts were the stronger team in the opening stages, and Pavel Pogrebnyak had a volley blocked before Garath McCleary almost found Hal Robson-Kanu with a low cross.

Adam Le Fondre was then denied what appeared to be a certain goal by Shane Duffy's last-ditch tackle.

However, Yeovil shocked their opponents with the opening goal midway through the half. Luke Ayling's free kick was powered home via the head of defender Duffy.

Tom Lawrence's blast from 25 yards was also well saved by Alex McCarthy as the visitors looked for a second goal.

Reading struggled to build momentum after that, although Danny Williams did hit a speculative volley over the bar and Pogrebnyak's header was disallowed for offside.
