Mark Warburton: 'Rangers not good enough despite 3-0 victory over Livingston'

Mark Warburton says that the Rangers team were unhappy with their performance despite beating Livingston 3-0 in the Scottish Championship.

Mark Warburton has revealed that he was unhappy with the way that Rangers played, despite beating Livingston 3-0 to extend their lead at the top of the Scottish Championship table.

Goals from Lee Wallace, Martyn Waghorn and Nicky Law led Rangers to the victory but Warburton felt the quality of play dropped below standard.

"It was not a good afternoon. It was a good afternoon in terms of we got the three points and we've played six games and got 18 points so that speaks for itself," Warburton told the club's official website.

"But as a group we are unhappy today, we had a small inquest in there, which is great about this group of players, that we have had a small inquest after winning 3-0 at home. We fell way below our standards in terms of looking after the ball, playing fast and making good decisions.

"So it was good to have that inquest because maybe more good than bad comes out of those type of meetings and hopefully it sets us up well for the next run of games. We spoke about out standards, what we do well, how we move the ball, how we take care of possession and how we take chances."

Rangers have now won 11 matches in a row in all competitions.
