Ally McCoist "pleased" with Rangers win

Rangers manager Ally McCoist insists that his players did not panic despite being kept at bay until the end by Falkirk in their Scottish Cup fourth-round clash.

Rangers manager Ally McCoist has said that he is "pleased" with his side's victory over Falkirk in the Scottish Cup on Saturday.

Late goals from Nicky Law and David Templeton saw the Glasgow club through to the fifth round of the competition at the expense of their hosts, who had to play the last 30 minutes of the contest with 10 men.

"We created an awful lot of opportunities; I was really pleased with the way we continued to play," BBC Sport quotes him as saying.

"We didn't panic and I did say that one of the most important things was that we keep our shape at the back and we did. Sometimes I wondered if it was going to be our day."

Falkirk defender David McCraken was sent off for bringing down Nicky Clark inside his own penalty area.
