Queens Park Rangers owner Tony Fernandes has ruled his club out of the running for David Beckham's signature.
The former England captain could become a free agent at the end of this month when his contract with Major League Soccer side LA Galaxy expires.
Fernandes had previously confirmed that QPR were interested in signing the 36-year-old, but it now appears that he will not be heading to Loftus Road.
"I'm not sure where we'd play Beckham because midfield is our strongest area right now," said Fernandes.
"Anyway, I think he's happy where he is, so I don't think it will happen."
Mexican side Club Tijuana became the latest club to be linked with the midfielder yesterday.
