Joey Barton scores and is sent off QPR are beaten by Norwich at home.

Queens Park Rangers captain Joey Barton scored before seeing red as Norwich beat the Hoops 2-1 at Loftus Road this afternoon.

Barton broke the deadlock in the early stages, running on to Clint Hill's cross and rifling the ball beyond Canaries keeper John Ruddy to go in front.

Remaining at the centre of attention, Barton picked up a straight red shortly before the break after he and Bradley Johnson appeared to clash heads.

Capitalising on the numerical advantage, Anthony Pilkington tied the score as he skipped in from the right and fired his shot back on goal ahead of half time.

It took until the final ten minutes of the game, but Norwich finally made the extra man count from close range as Elliot Bennett found substitute Steve Morrison for the go-ahead score.
