Matt Phillips has expressed his delight that Queens Park Rangers striker Charlie Austin is staying at the club.
Austin, who netted 18 Premier League goals last term, is poised to spend at least half of the 2015-16 season in the Championship after Rangers' £15m valuation deterred his suitors, according to reports.
The 26-year-old hinted that he would be staying at Loftus Road and, with the transfer window closed, Phillips has welcomed the news.
He wrote on Twitter: "Ha I'm at my house watching deadline day the same as you all! Of course! Delighted the man @chazaustin9 is still a ranger!"
Austin will be available on a Bosman next summer if he does not sign an extension or leave in January.
