Nottingham Forest bring in James Coppinger, Billy Sharp on loan

Sean O'Driscoll reunites with ex-Doncaster pair James Coppinger and Billy Sharp, who both join Nottingham Forest on loan deals.

Nottingham Forest have announced the loan signings of Doncaster Rovers midfielder James Coppinger and Southampton striker Billy Sharp.

The pair reunite with former manager Sean O'Driscoll, who took charge at the City Ground this summer following the sacking of Steve Cotterill.

Coppinger joins from Doncaster, where both he and Sharp worked with O'Driscoll, on a short-term deal until January.

Meanwhile, Sharp has signed an initial one-year loan with the Reds with an option to make it a permanent transfer at the end of the season.
