Late Stephen Dobbie strike wins it for Blackpool

Stephen Dobbie scores a late goal to give Blackpool a 1-0 win against 10-man Nottingham Forest in the Championship.

Stephen Dobbie's late strike was enough for Blackpool to see off 10-man Nottingham Forest in the Championship.

Thomas Ince had a chance to open the scoring from the penalty spot after Djamel Abdoun was sent off for conceding the spot kick just after the half-hour mark.

Ince could have made amends minutes later, but he couldn't convert Dobbie's cross after sending his shot straight at Darlow.

Gary Mackenzie's late header went over the bar after Neal Bishop had crossed for the Blackpool defender.

Forest had two good attempts in just after the hour mark but neither Gonzalo Jara nor Greg Halford could convert as both chances ended up over the bar.

It looked as though 10-man Forest were going to hold on for a draw before Dobbie scored his first goal of the season to give the Seasiders the points.
