Jamie Paterson brace sinks Huddersfield Town

A 3-0 away win against Huddersfield Town sees Nottingham Forest stretch their unbeaten run to 13 games.

Nottingham Forest have stretched their unbeaten run to 13 games with a 3-0 away win against Huddersfield Town.

Radoslaw Majewski had the first effort for the away side, but it was deflected for a corner, which was cleared.

Forest were on top in the early stages and almost got in with Jamie Paterson, but Joel Lynch made a saving tackle. Simon Cox then hit one well wide after a Forest counter-attack from a Huddersfield corner.

A heavy collision between Jonathan Hogg and Karl Darlow then stopped play for a few minutes, although both players were able to continue.

Andy Reid drove an effort wide from outside the area as the visitors pushed for the opening goal before the break.

The home side were forced to make an early change when James Vaughan went down. The striker was unable to carry on and was replaced by Danny Ward.

Paul Dixon and Cox missed the target early in the second half, and Rafik Djebbour was denied by Alex Smithies when clean through on goal, but Paterson broke the deadlock with a header from Daniel Fox's cross with just over an hour played.

Adam Hammill had an effort blocked as the Terriers pushed for an immediate response. However, with just under 10 minutes remaining, Paterson beat Smithies for a second time with a low shot.

Darius Henderson made the win even more convincing with the third from the middle of the box.
