Alex McLeish will reportedly consider his future as Nottingham Forest manager over the next 24 hours following the club's failure to land George Boyd from Peterborough United.
Boyd had agreed personal terms with Forest and had passed the majority of his medical when it was flagged up that there was a problem with one of his eyes, which in turned prompted chairman Fawaz Al-Hasawi to cancel the deal.
However, McLeish was believed to have still been eager to sign the 27-year-old, only to see his request blocked by Al-Hasawi last night.
According to The Telegraph, the Scottish boss will now mull over if he is to continue in his role, which he only acquired over the festive period.
The report has also claimed that McLeish has been left frustrated by missing out on other targets, such as Chris Burke, Danny Fox and Stephen Ward.
