Norwich City and West Ham United play out a goalless half of Premier League football at Carrow Road.

Norwich City and West Ham United remain level at 0-0 after a pulsating 45 minutes at Carrow Road on Saturday.

It was the away side who started the better, with Mohamed Diame proving a threat with a series of powerful surges from midfield.

However, Norwich had the first real chance of the afternoon after five minutes, but Andrew Surman just fired his effort wide of the post.

The best chance of the opening stages fell to Carlton Cole after 13 minutes, but his effort was blocked on the line before Matthew Taylor fired wide of the Norwich post.

West Ham continued to create openings with Kevin Nolan testing John Ruddy from close range, but the home side resisted the pressure.

Norwich had two glorious chances to take the lead either side of the 30-minute mark, but Grant Holt and Robert Snodgrass were both denied from close range.

Norwich might have been awarded a penalty five minutes before the break when James Collins felled Surman - but the referee deemed the foul to be outside of the penalty area.
