The report suggests that combining the two leagues would inevitably lead to longer seasons and less breaks between campaigns.
There has recently been an announcement regarding an all-star fixture to be held between the two leagues in the summer.
CONCACAF would need to support any change to the respective league systems given the ramifications for the continent's Champions League.
