The Magpies have been linked with a move for the French international, who came through the ranks with le Tef.

Sissoko said that playing in the Premier League would be a "dream come true", while also stating that Newcastle are a "fantastic" team.

"To play in the Premier League would be a dream come true," the 23-year-old told Sky Sports News. "It is a fantastic league and I enjoy watching it.

"Newcastle are a fantastic team and would be attractive to any player. I am no different."
